Looks good, but it would have been better if they kept with the sci-fi theme and release it with WALL-E.

Actually, I think it’s better for Pixar to contrast their shorts and feature films with totally different themes, which has been the pattern so far…

Also there is a pattern of short films on the topic of the feature film, like Mike’s New Car, Jack-Jack Attack and etc. So we may see a short film of WALL-E, meaning that we may get one Sci-Fi short film this year.

That’s true. They do seem to be making a short for every film they put out right now. Maybe it’ll give them something to put on the dvd since there’s next to nothing now.

I’m sure they did Lifted so they could make the gel aliens as a test since they were originally going to appear in Wall-E. (I like them having contrasting shorts too )

On all of the descriptions it says five minutes, the theatrical shorts are usually that long, so I’m guessing that’s accurate.

A review of Presto, from the Annecy preview.
Vote: 10/10

Après avoir vu le court-métrage, c’est une véritable ovation qui c’est emparée de la salle pleine de journalistes, réalisé par Doug Sweetland (qui fait aussi les bruitages), ce dernier est émerveillé par un tel accueil, et il faut dire que le résultat attendu est là. Presto est tout simplement le meilleur court-métrage des studios Pixar, véritable prouesse technique, le court se range parmi le top du top en matière d’animation.
