Halloween 2011

Gather around the campfire adults and children alike and let us prepare for Halloween, the one holiday the Celts, the people of Scotland and Ireland gave the world.

People changed the name from Samhain to Halloween and Turnips with candles to using Pumpkins but still some elements remain, as some people believe that strange spirits and creatures are particularly active and present on the 31st of October.

So!

Any plans? Perhaps parties? Trick or Treating? Scary movies and sleepovers?

Or perhaps you have some scary stories or other interesting things to share. :smiling_imp:

–Creepy pasta! Post more if you have them!—
The Portraits:

There was a hunter in the woods, who, after a long day hunting, was in the middle of an immense forest. It was getting dark, and having lost his bearings, he decided to head in one direction until he was clear of the increasingly oppressive foliage. After what seemed like hours, he came across a cabin in a small clearing. Realizing how dark it had grown, he decided to see if he could stay there for the night. He approached, and found the door ajar. Nobody was inside. The hunter flopped down on the single bed, deciding to explain himself to the owner in the morning.

As he looked around the inside of the cabin, he was surprised to see the walls adorned by several portraits, all painted in incredible detail. Without exception, they appeared to be staring down at him, their features twisted into looks of hatred and malice. Staring back, he grew increasingly uncomfortable. Making a concerted effort to ignore the many hateful faces, he turned to face the wall, and exhausted, he fell into a restless sleep.

The next morning, the hunter awoke — he turned, blinking in unexpected sunlight. Looking up, he discovered that the cabin had no portraits, only windows.

A rather scary story about a monster of a man’s childhood. In its simplicity it is rather terrifying. You’ve been warned. If you weren’t scared of clowns before you may be after watching this:

I don’t trick or treat much anymore, but what I plan on doing is working at a haunted carnival at my community and being a character in a haunted house. last time I did that, I was a insane “little boy” obsessed with play time. You can see where the insanity can come in.

I don’t trick or treat anymore since I feel too old to do it. I usually stay home and give out some candy to the kids.

I still have no idea what I’m gonna be this Halloween.

I’m def. going Trick-o-Treating! I love the idea of Halloween, one of my favorite holidays! It just sucks that it’s on a Monday, :open_mouth:

I’m too old for trick or treating, I’ll just give away candy.

Are you gonna dress up Pixarfan91?

Maybe, not sure.

I don’t know what I want to go as either.

I would really like to go as Rogue or X23 or Mercury, or even Nightcrawler, but I can only hope to get the costume together in time. If I can’t, I’ll be Violet, handing out candy at our house (TSS, feel free to come and get some sweets from your favorite super hero  ). There’s a friend I’d really like to have over because she’s a lot of fun for scary things. I’d like to have a Twilight marathon with her. Hopefully, she can come.

BTW, are we allowed to post pictures of our costumes?

I think it’s okay to post pics. How are you gonna pull the X-23 costume? You gonna do something for her claws?

I might just get a mask.

Of course you can’t have a Halloween thread without the best creepypasta of them all:

“So ur with ur honey and yur making out
wen the phone rigns. U anser it n the
vioce is “wut r u doing wit my daughter?”
U tell ur girl n she say “my dad is ded”.
THEN WHO WAS PHONE?”

:open_mouth:

Did anyone read my Toy Story Halloween fanfic last year?

I haven’t. What is it titled? I might give it a look.

“Toy Story Halloween Special- The Haunting of Joyful the Clown”.

Same here. I might be interested in looking at it.

I’ll definetely give it a read before Halloween.

Cool, I think I’ll go to the door as Stan Marsh for Halloween

Depending what my work wants to have for it’s theme, I will plan my costume accordingly.
