The Bad Guys of Cars

I got the okay to post this, but I still hope it’s fine!

Talk of the bad guys mostly in the second one. Chick does’nt really count IMO since he was just fuled (lol) by the lust to win and become a big shot!

Most of my banter will be on Zundapp. I dunno what drew me to him as my faveorite chara.
I think it was how he executed all his plans and how coy he was when he spoke. [spoil]“Deactivate” being my fave![/spoil]
Do you have a villian that you love/loath?

I love Professor Z too. I loved him since I saw his character design.

It’s a car.

With a monocle.

YES!
I love his teeth too for some reason! I’d love to see a personafied version of him!
I picture him looking very much like the Major from Hellsing [url]http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e307/Pilipenko/Hellsing/Major.jpg[/url] It’s behind a URL cut cuz it has a not-so-nice symbol in the background…but look at him and tell me you dont see Zundapp!

I did do a kitty version of Zundapp (called Zuncatt) I should color and post him at some point.
I cant wait for the DVD so I can get some epic pics of Professor Z. There really is’nt much out for him…I especially want pics from the part where [spoil]he kills the american spy with the camera[/spoil] He made the BEST faces there.

He looks like he’s constantly bored with everything. XD

Haha, yeah, he does! It’s really funny!

His monocle is awesome!

I actually wrote a short character analysis of Professor Z in my recent blog post. I’ll copy and paste it here for your deliberation:

Oh man, Professor Z… he’s not exactly the most memorable Pixar antagonist - he has awfully little screentime and even fewer remarkable lines, but his actions speak louder than his words. What he lacks in quoteworthy bad-guy dialogue he makes up for in callous indifference in his acts of villainy. We witness the aftermath of his [spoil]murder of Finn’s colleague[/spoil] in a rather brutal way (by cars’ standards) in the opening act, and one of the most unforgettable scenes is of his [spoil]slow and sadistic torture of Bruce Campbell’s character.[/spoil]

Unfortunately, he doesn’t directly dispose of his victims, instead relying on his henchmen Acer and Grem to do the dirty deeds. Also, there are moments where he breaks out-of-character and becomes weak, like when [spoil]he recalls his past of being treated as a lemon in the casino, or when he is captured by Finn and squeals when he is pressured to reveal the bomb disarming code.[/spoil] It’s great to show moments of vulnerability in the antagonist; Kung Fu Panda 2 handled that very well with Lord Shen’s moments of self-doubt. The way Cars 2 did it though, felt like it was played for laughs with Z’s [spoil]dramatic sobbing when he recollected his memories of being teased as a lemon, or when he flees from Finn when his men abandon him.[/spoil] It would’ve been more bad-ass and in-character if he had simply faltered during the ‘remembering’ scene, or if he actually tried to fight Finn one-on-one instead of relying on his henchmen or escape crafts.

Thoughts?

I didn’t feel like [spoil]Z all choked up during the lemon speech[/spoil] was played for laughs, personally. I honestly wanted to hug him.

I think he was kinda meant to be the brainy character who fails at action forever.

I agree with him being more brains that brawn.
I think that’s why he relys so much on Acer and Grem. All he knows how to fight with is with his brain. I mean, he did [spoil]make gas that exploded when hit with a beam.[/spoil]

But did anyone notice that his top rack was broken to look like a comb over?

Zenoah I thought I was the only one who noticed that  It does look like a comb over.

Zundapp is pretty cool :sunglasses: I also liked the Pacer [spoil]that helps hurt the spy in the bathroom[/spoil] .
