All Things NBA

Who’s your favorite NBA player?Mine’s Daniel Gibson. <3

You like Mr Daniel “Boobie” Gibson huh L&S? Well my favorite player happens to play for the same team as him. He is the greatest player in the NBA today, the MVP, and the King of the Court: Lebron James. I always find it a joy to see him play. He is amazing.

Michael Jordan. I’m sorry to say that I flat-out stopped watching basketball after Michael retired, when the Lakers split up, and when Kobe went… “off the hook”, so to speak. I used to be up-to-date on the NBA play-offs years and years ago, but I’ve since abandoned watching the sport, which I now kind of regret. I just don’t have the time to devote to it anymore. Heh.

That said, basketball is the sport, man. Gosh, one of the best memories I had was watching the NBA every night at 8:00 PM. Great stuff. Defense!

Mitch: While Lebron James is my most favorite player in the NBA today, Michael Jordan will always be my most favorite player of all time. I grew up watching him and his play is amazing. He is such an outstanding player and demonstrates exceptional qualities on and off the court.

As for Kobe, he has learned his lesson and now is a better person. He has really developed as a player and is stil putting up MVP numbers like last years MVP season.

The Star Swordsman - My thoughts exactly. I miss watching Mr. Jordan strut his stuff. Those were the days, man…

Ah. So Kobe finally cooled down? Thank goodness. Well, I’m glad that he learned his lesson. Heh.

Is Fisher still with the Lakers? He was #2 on the court, right?

– Mitch

Mitch: Yes Kobe has indeed cooled down.

Speaking of Kobe, Derek Fisher is still with the team. As of now, the Lakers have the most explosive offensive teams currently in the NBA. It all starts with Kobe. He runs the offense. But believe it or not, the second best player is the center. Big, Spanish Pau Gasol is a solid inside-post player who is a great scorer, both in the paint and from mid-range. Lamar Odom is rising to be a dangerous power forward, providing power in post and solid defense. Fisher remains to be consistant, both in his free throws and 3-point shooting. One final player i can talk about on the Lakers is Sasha “the Machine” Vujachic. He brings energy and explosive shooting from the outside.

WHile the Lakers are a very talented, stacked, and powerful team, I really hate them. My team includes the Cleveland Caviliers, the Utah Jazz, the Detroit Pistons, and the Boston Celtics in that order.

The Star Swordsman - Sounds as if I’ve been missing out on a lot! I’d heard that Kobe was greatly assisting in keeping the team in full-force, which is awesome. It’s good to know that Fisher is still headstrong in the 3-point shot throw act, as well. (Derek! That’s his first name. Thanks for reminding me. I couldn’t remember it for the life of me. Heh.)

Really? That’s too bad. So you like the Celtics, huh? I used to be familiar with all of those teams. I mainly followed the Bulls and the Lakers, but the Hornets weren’t bad either. (At least, I don’t think they were. Gosh, I can’t remember! :stuck_out_tongue: )

– Mitch

Actually, the HOrnets were pretty bad until they drafted point guard Chris Paul. Thanks to his high energy and smart play, the hornets are once again playoff contenders.

I recently started to like the celtics because KG is one of the most inspirational players in the NBA of all time.

The Star Swordsman - Huh. I must have been thinking of another team then. Although, when was Chris Paul accepted as a member of the Hornets, if I may ask?

Hmm. “KG”? I don’t know if I’ve heard of him…

– Mitch

Chris Paul was indeed accepted as soon as he was drafted Mitch.

KG = Kevin Garnett.

Anything else?

Mmm. I see. However, I meant that I wanted to know what year he was drafted/accepted, if that’s all right.

Ah! Kevin Garnett. Nope! Never heard of him. (snigger)

Ha-ha. I think that that’s it for now, but I’ll give you a call if I need any more assistance.

– Mitch

If you say so Mitch. To be honest, I am not really a huge basketball fan. I started to really get into it just this year. But I’ll tell you all that I know if you have questions.

No offence but I think Kobe is kinda a concieted jerk.
TSS:And yes I really,really,really like Boobie! <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/love2.gif” alt=“:loves:” title="In

Love" /> <3 :-*

L&S: He was a jerk. But seeing him today has really changed my mind about him. now he is an amazing player to watch and a hero off the court, in LA and all across the world. I mean, did you see the ovation he, along with the rest of the US Olympic team, got when they won the gold medal?

Big Jazz fan here, naturally Stockton and Malone are my favs, with Deron Williams close behind. Not a big Boozer fan, but I like Millsap and Brewer with Okur and Kirilenko occasionally. Outside the jazz, I’m a huge Brandon Roy fan, except when he kills the Jazz…

carlfredricksen: Deron Williams is my favorite point gaurd and probably my 3rd favorite player to watch in the NBA. I like the Jazz like you. But they would fall unser 3rd or 4th place on my top favorite teams. Still, I like Boozer. He has got a cool last name and is a rebounding machine.

If only he (Boozer) would pretend to care an iota about defense half the time we might go far in the playoffs. Big dwight howard fan too.

Well, the Jazz have a pretty good record and it looks like they have a playoff spot locked up.

Yeah, but they won’t go far until they get a big man who can play some defense. Okur isn’t a shot blocker either.

I know. Okur is one of the very few big-men who can hit the long ball. That is what I find unique about him.
