The Wandering's fanart

Good luck! Can’t wait to see your next one

Thanks, Slinky.

I hate to be a one trick pony, but I’m as picky about my movies as I am about my food, plus, I never did a lot of Pixar fanart until sort of recently. Anyway, more Ratatouille.

I drew these for a friend. The periphery sketches were done without references, in about 20-30 seconds, which I can only do for certain characters. Even then it’s not guaranteed they’ll look anything like they’re supposed to.

The middle sketch should’ve taken me 30 minutes, but instead involved an hour more of my time, and 15 layers, and it’s STILL quite messy.

Linguini’s also proving difficult to hit that “Linguininess.” He looks more like some of the artbook drawings than what he is in the movie.
His anatomy and proportions make me cry as well. I still need to draw a few more Linguinis before I get the hang of it.

I have absolutely no art talent, so I can’t see these “imperfections” you point out. Looks great to me…

Good job!

That is a GREAT Linguini, Wandering!

Remy could stand to be a liiittle bluer, but overall, nice drawings.

~~=oP

The Wandering! Holy cow! I must say that you did an incredible job with Linguini! He looks too great for words! I love him so much. Really good. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

I’m with Gasduude, to be honest, I don’t spot any mistakes at all!
And as I’m a Linguini geek, all I can say is that I’m in love with this one… His expression is funny and he looks cute in regular clothes… ;-p <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/love2.gif” alt=“:loves:” title="In

The Wandering - Dude, it looks absolutely fantastic. I’m lovin’ the colors, man…

And be glad that you can at least draw humans! I can’t do it to save my life (at least, not yet). :stuck_out_tongue:

Beautiful composition!

Gasduude,TSSThanks! I try to fix any glaring errors if I can, even if it might be just noticeable to me.

PixarVixen, lol, I keep worrying the more blue I try to make Remy, the more I might turn him into a smurfy rat. Color matching is not really one of my strong suits.

I love Linguini too, Maggie. I’ve always had a thing for tall skinny boys. <3

Thanks Mitch. I wish every coloring job I did was less of an experiment though. I just stop when I think everything looks ok. -_- As for humans, I find them tough to draw everytime, but at least these ones look more cartoony.

The Wandering - First of all: You’re a girl? Oh dear, I’m so sorry…

Secondly: It always seems hard to get the colors just right, so experimenting with them is unavoidable in most cases, I guess. You sure did a beautiful job in selecting tasty colors, though.

Yeah, they are really difficult to sketch. Of course, you’ve been drawing longer than I have, I’m sure, so it’s no wonder you’re an expert at drawing them.

I don’t think I see any errors in the linguini one Wandering. I think it looks perfect.

That Linguini is exceptional! I’m really at a loss of words to declare just how great it works.

high-five Alright! But two things I also like about him are the freckles and the red hair… <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/love2.gif” alt=“:loves:” title="In

Can’t wait to see more from you!

Mitch:

LOL, that’s ok! It took me a while to figure out you were a girl the first time I got here. (right?) It’s fun to be confused on the internet. :astonished:

I don’t think I’d call my self an expert, but thank you. I’ve never taken art classes, so I’m largely self-taught. But I guess scrawling things since I was 10, helped me practice a little.

TSS,Dash Thanks again! Hmm, I think I know what’s wrong. His hair needs to be poofier.

Maggie:

You know, I might like that too. Ron, Fred, and George Weasely are my other favorite red-heads.

Ok, I just finished this one, and I’ll probably need a break. This is a crossover I’ve been waiting to do for a while. By the time I finished it, I didn’t fee like looking at it anymore. :open_mouth:

OMG, that one is so cute! <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/love2.gif” alt=“:loves:” title="In

Love" /> It’s a beautiful

composition; I love the colors and the characters look awesome! Great job!

Hah

ha! I love it! It all looks so realistic - like it came from a story book. :sunglasses:

Great job,

Wandering!

The

Wandering- I always try to critique artwork, but there’s hardly anything wrong with you art, if

anything at all! Your Linguinis and Remys are amazing, in proportion, colour, and general likeness of the

characters. It’s always more difficult to convert a 3D character onto a 2D format, but you do so very well! I

can’t wait to see more of your artwork!

The Wandering - Ahaha! You did that? It looks awesome!

Heheh. Yeah, it is

kinda confusing. I’m glad I didn’t offend you, in any case. (snigger)

Wow. You’ve never taken art

classes? Well, your stuff looks pretty dang good for being self-taught!

Wait what? Now I am

confused Mitch. I did what again?

The Star Swordsman - Oh gosh, I’m so sorry. I mean to say "The

Wandering". Heheh – I fixed it. Sorry about that, dude. My brain is asleep…

(snigger)

Okay, now I am not confused no more. :unamused:
