Sheet music for the musically inclined...

Very cool! I am terrible at piano, but that was wonderful

wow i love that song!!! cool and i used to play cello and that looks hard!!!

Wow. Nice job. I play the drums so I have no idea how to play that but it looks really good. =) REALLY nice job there.

It sounded nice, but not very familiar. I’ll have to watch the movie again (oh well, i guess i’ll have to <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/grinandwink.gif” alt=“;-D” title="Grin and

Wink" /> )

Oh, wow. That was gorgeous. I dream of being able to play like that.

I’ll print off the sheet music and give it a go, but I doubt I’ll get very far. But now you’ve uploaded the video, it’ll help me out with timing and what it should sound like.

Wonderful performance!

EDIT: A quick question I wanted to ask as someone who sucks at theory, what do those dotted lines mean that connect the treble and bass? For example, in bar 13?

The lines are actually connecting individual notes, I’m indicating that those notes are a combined single melody/phrase and should be emphasized as such rather than just playing them as notes in the chord. You might be able to hear it in the video. But some notes have been passed to the left hand (bass clef) in order to be easier to play.

I don’t even know how proper that notation is but I’ve seen it used a few times and found it useful myself.

I’m going to give this a go later today , thanks!!

theowne- Okay, cool. I think I’ve seen that notation in other pieces before, but it’s been a while since I’ve played any sheet music and I forget these things very easily.

I have to give this a try. How long did it take to wright.

A couple of hours or so. First just listening to the track and then figuring out the notes on the piano as it played. Then I had to write it up neatly.

It’s amazing that you were able to write that in two hours! I can’t wait to learn how to play it!

Are you planning on writing sheet music for any of the other tracks?

That was great, just beautiful. My only suggestion would be to situate the camera up a bit higher so people can see what keys you are hitting. If you ever consider playing more WALL•E songs, please do “Horizon 12.2” or “Foreign Contaminant.”

Wow…my brother plays piano he will love this.
