Hey, great find Little Chef. That female rat does look like Remy and Emile enough to be the mother. What I don’t understand though is why Emile is a brown rat yet both of his parents are blue rats.

Perhaps Brown color is a resessive gene, kind of like blonde hair in humans. That would too explain why there isn’t a lot of brown hair rats, just like how there are less blondes in the world than brunettes.

My science class JUST started talking about recessive genes/traits, and when I read your post, I was like “What?”
Anyway, back on topic, maybe Remy’s mom passed away? I know many people have probably already said that, but that’s the only reasonable thing I can think of. Either that or she left Remy’s dad (speaking of which, that gives me an idea).

i think they should have made Remy’s mom have a big role. maybe his father would be less mean and more understanding of Remy’s dream of being a cook.

I wouldn’t of liked them to change Remy’s father’s presonality (in the beginning). Having the father be unaccepting created conflict for the movie to happen.

I think Remy’s mother having a huge role would have been distracting. They had a full enough cast, IMO.
