Anyway, speak for yourself on the WALL-E / Eve love story - I think it’ll be cute but nothing gets me like what’s been around before the newbies - new films take a while to grow on me, as the classics stick in my mind forever.

I think I like Flik and Atta because, though they were lead roles, they really didn’t seem like a potential couple in the beginning, but as the movie went on, the subtle attractions between them began to show, and I found it cute. x)

Flik and Atta’s relationship looks somewhat similar to Newt and Brooke’s relationship, no? Flik and Atta seem to be just friends, and I hope they’re not really a couple…it just looks like it wouldn’t work out.

But i could be wrong.

I never liked their relationship much - since I was a child at the time, still at the point where ‘boys are icky!’ but now I find it cute. Maybe because I found Flik adorable, despite how much his overly-cheery attitude annoys me to pieces. :laughing:

BDD - We all have our personal pet names for our favorite couples. This one is just a bit tricky since it’s not the most popular one…HMMM, maybe “Alik” would work. :wink: :laughing:
I’ve always wondered if they crushed on each other before the movie. They clearly knew each other, so maybe Flik has always had a crush (like Spiderman’s Peter and MJ). Just my two cents.

If Marlin and Dory were a couple (which I don’t think they are) I’d call them “Darlin”. But that’s off-topic. Anyway, maybe they had feelings for each other, like as we know Flik obviously had a crush on Atta. Atta might have liked him, but didn’t really think as much about him because of all her stress and pressure.

I know…I saw this tribute to Pixar, and it left out ABL. I saw a music video of Pixar couples, and it left out Atta and Flik- I couldn’t believe it.

I love Flik and Atta. It’s so sweet how Flik has this totally huge crush on her from the beginning, and it takes Atta a lot of the movie to warm up to him. I love the little moments they have.

Oh my goodness, I absolutely love these two together so much. <3 And that’s saying alot since I barely have any Pixar couples that I love. And all of my top favorite OTPs are mainly from anime and manga, but Flik/Atta is just so sweet and it actually has really good development throughout the course of the film. Flik is first shown to have a crush on her, but Atta couldn’t care less and finds him extremely irritating. After Flik actually manages to go back to Ant Island with the warrior bugs, Atta’s opinion of him greatly changes and she starts warming up to him and appreciating him. Even her feelings or him starts changing for the better, and all the little moments they share is just so sweet. Their affection towards one another is very much mutual too (and their situation really reminds me of another one of my biggest anime couples of all time, but I won’t get into that here. :laughing:).

And another thing but the most significant factor is that even though they’re completely different in terms of status (her being a princess, and him being a worker ant), they share something in common in that they’re both insecure about their position and don’t believe that other people will ever appreciate them. Honestly, it’s just so rare for me to find a Disney couple that has WELL-executed development within its context. Flik/Atta not only has that, but it’s also just so adorable and utterly sweet that it makes me gush and squee every time I watch the movie, lol. <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/love2.gif” alt=“:loves:” title="In
