WALL•E @ New York Comic-Con April 19

NYCC 08: Pixar’s WALL•E Invades
Can New York survive the cute-robot swarm?
by IGN Movies

April 14, 2008 - What is it with Pixar and their confoundingly titled movies lately? First we all had to learn how to pronounce Ratatouille, and now the famed animation house expects us all to learn how to type the “•” symbol for their latest film, WALL•E… Of course, this is a Pixar movie, so it’s probably going to be worth the extra keyboard effort. And it will certainly be worth it to stop by the IGN Theater at this weekend’s New York Comic-Con, where a special WALL•E panel will be held.

Hosted by IGN Movies’ Editor in Chief Eric Moro, the presentation will feature producer and visual-effects maestro Jim Morris as he unveils what Moro is describing as “awesome new footage” from the film.

WALL•E takes place in the far-off future of the year 2700, where the robot of the title spends his days “doing what he was made for.” But soon, he will find “what he was meant for,” in what will without a doubt be heartwarming and classic Pixar fashion. Directed by Oscar-winner Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo), WALL•E is described by the studio as “the story of one robot’s comic adventures as he chases his dream across the galaxy.”

Don’t be an evil robot! Come to New York Comic-Con this weekend and visit the IGN Theater for the WALL•E event (at Manhattan’s Jacob Javits Center) on Saturday, April 19th at 11 a.m.!

Hopefully we’ll be able to get some info from the outside!

Too bad I’ll be getting ready to go on a plane to the Grand Canyon on that day.

It’s bad when you live so close to the city but miss out on all the great events there on account of life. :stuck_out_tongue:
